I never wanted to fall in love with her,

I always wanted to rise,

Rise in love and be the one deserving,

The one who knows you inside out,

The one who never gets enough of you.

Falling in love with you taught me things,

If all the dreams were to come true,

 then there wud be no difference between dreams and reality

It taught me to be taut in what i want,

In what I desire, over the long years, to never lose hope,

Even when we were in someone elses arms,

Wrapped around closely, but the warmth was always missed

Like we were yearning to be one, like a rope that was pulling me towards you

Falling in love with you made me realise it was never enough

All the smiles i had, all the moments i shared

Were null in front of you,

It taught me to want more, to be more,

Taking myself out of my comfort zone, to challenge the simple life I lived

Falling in love with you taught me many things

To not give up even if there's the tiniest of hope,

To not rest when the legs were tired and backs were weary

To be consistently stubborn to the things i wanted

Falling in love with you made me mature, made me the person i am today.
